Halesiurja boasts a highly competent workforce capable of operating, repairing, and maintaining hydro projects, transmission facilities, and substations. Over the years, we have expanded our in-house expertise in project selection, engineering, construction planning, and operation and maintenance. Our track record includes reviving struggling projects, turning them into profitable ventures.

(A Legacy of Success

Halesiurja’s journey began as a Joint Venture Company, partnering Nepali owners with a Norwegian company to develop its first hydro project, the 7,500 kW Indravati III HPP. Since 1999, we have been operating the Indravati III Hydro Power Project with a concession license extending until 2047 A.D. As the off-taker, Nepal Electricity Authority benefits from the energy produced by this project.

Future Endeavors

We are actively involved in expanding our hydropower portfolio. The 4,500 kW Lower Indravati Hydropower Project, downstream of Indravati III, is in the study phase and slated to commence operations by April 2024. Additionally, Halesiurja is a major promoter of the 14.15 MW Lower Erkhuwa Hydropower Project, expected to start generating power in 2023. )

Halesiurja recognizes the potential in the electricity trading domain, both domestically and regionally. With the advent of Power Trade Agreements between Nepal and India, as well as evolving cross-border trade regulations, we see opportunities in this sector.
